Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated August 2026
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") is incorporated into the Terms of Service and applies to everyone who uses Attorney Armor, including your personnel and any authorized agent.
Scanning authorization — the core rule
- Only submit domains, hosts, IP ranges, and applications that you own or are expressly authorized in writing to assess.
- You represent that you have obtained all consents required from hosting providers, clients, and third parties before initiating a scan.
- Do not use the platform to assess shared infrastructure without the provider's permission.
- You are solely responsible for any unauthorized testing you initiate; we may suspend access immediately on credible report of it.
Prohibited conduct
- Violating any law, regulation, court order, or third-party right, including computer misuse and wiretapping statutes.
- Attempting to bypass platform authentication, rate limits, tenancy isolation, or billing controls.
- Reverse engineering, scraping, or reselling platform output except as permitted in your subscription.
- Uploading malware, or using findings to attack, extort, or harm any system or person.
- Submitting privileged client material, protected health information, or payment card data into free-text fields where it is not required.
- Interfering with other customers' use of the service or with the integrity of our infrastructure.
- Using the platform to build a competing product or benchmark it for public comparison without written permission.
AI features
Do not submit personal data, privileged material, or confidential client information into AI assistance features beyond what is necessary, and do not rely on AI output as a sole basis for a security, legal, or compliance decision. See our AI Disclosure.
Fair use and rate limits
Subscription tiers include assessment volumes described at checkout. Sustained usage that materially exceeds your tier, or automated request patterns that degrade the service, may be throttled after notice where practicable.
Enforcement
We may investigate suspected violations and may suspend or terminate access, remove content, or notify law enforcement. Where practicable and lawful, we will notify the account administrator first and give an opportunity to cure. Suspension for AUP violations does not entitle you to a refund.
Reporting abuse
Report suspected misuse or a security vulnerability to info@attorneyarmor.com. We acknowledge reports within two business days.
